Hi, I’m Meagan. I’m a photographer specializing in portraits, elopements, and editorial storytelling. I'm lucky to call both Honolulu and San Francisco home, and I regularly split time between these beautiful cities.

I love gorgeous imagery, and creating artwork that you can't wait to hang on your walls. I also love real life - the good, the bad, the amazing-but-not-always-photogenic moments. I love capturing images that take you back to a precise moment in time, a fleeting feeling that words can't describe.

My goal is to capture moments that tell your story in a beautiful and authentic way.

A bit about me: I was born and raised on O'ahu. I studied natural resources and environmental management with a focus in economics, and began a career in energy efficiency. After a few years, I decided to pursue my life-long passion full-time. I've loved every aspect of photography since my grandfather gifted me his vintage SLR in high school, and I credit Boston University's darkroom for getting me through my first and only year there. Since then, I've lived in New Zealand, Ireland, Kaua'i, and Chicago, and after 10 years back on O'ahu, I recently designed my life to live/work in both Honolulu and San Francisco. If you're near either place (or anywhere, really) I hope you'll reach out!

I generally view life as one giant, beautiful, messy, amazing experiment, and I approach photography with the same curiosity and open mind. I've found that experiments and creativity go hand in hand.

I love to surf, get into adventure shenanigans, and travel. Preferably all together. Mostly, I love telling stories through photography. I believe every person and place has a story to tell, and I love sharing these stories through my lens.

These are some snapshots of my story...I'd love to learn about yours.
